Grants Awarded to the Marathon Public Library
The Marathon Foundation has proudly supported the Marathon Public Library, recognizing its vital role in education, literacy, and community enrichment. Below is a summary of the grants awarded:
2025
- $33,000 paid toward our $100,000 pledge to support the new library building
2024
- $3,200 to support a new hydroponics class, encouraging hands-on learning and sustainability education.
- $100,000 pledge to support the construction of a new library building. One-third of the pledged amount was disbursed in 2024.
2017
- $1,735 grant for the continuing education of the executive director, supporting leadership development, and capacity building.
2013
- $12,000 operational grant to assist with the library's general expenses and programming needs.
