In addition to its ongoing programs and previously detailed initiatives, The Marathon Foundation has provided grants to support a variety of other valuable organizations and community projects in Marathon. Below is a summary of those contributions:

2025
-$1000 to Marathon Animal Shelter to support vet care for strays found in Marathon -$1000 to Big Bend Pets to support vet care for strays found in Marathon - $10,000 to Sunshine House in support of the Meals on Wheels program, providing meals to senior citizens in Marathon.
2024:
$10,000 to Sunshine House in support of the Meals on Wheels program, providing meals to senior citizens in Marathon.
2023:
$5,000 to Big Bend Pets to support a spay/neuter program (generously funded by a donor)
2021:
$10,200 for a cat spay/neuter and release program (generously donor-funded).
2020:
$10,000 for a spay/neuter and release program for cats (generously donor-funded)
2015:
Pledge and support for a research telescope project intended to complement the existing public-use telescope and promote astronomy education
2014:
$2,700 for the installation of a pond aerator in beautiful Post Park, a county park located five miles south of Marathon.
